How does telehealth ketamine work for New Jersey patients?
The standard flow: complete the eligibility screening online, have an initial physician consultation via secure video, receive medication shipped from a partner compounding pharmacy, prepare the home space with a peer supervisor present, take the sublingual dose during a scheduled session window, and follow up with the physician for integration and dose titration. Most patients complete the entire induction series (10 or more sessions over 4 to 8 weeks) without leaving home.
Do I need to come to a Lakewood or Jersey Shore office for treatment?
No. Discreet Ketamine is fully telehealth-based. There is no physical office to visit. The home setting is part of what makes the program work; many patients have their best sessions specifically because they're not in a medical environment.

Is ketamine therapy covered by insurance in New Jersey?
Off-label sublingual ketamine (the at-home format) is generally not covered by insurance, in NJ or anywhere else. Spravato (the FDA-approved esketamine nasal spray, administered in certified clinics) is covered by most NJ private insurance plans, NJ Medicare, and some NJ Medicaid plans with prior authorization. If insurance coverage is your priority and you can travel to a certified Spravato clinic in NJ, that's the cost-effective starting point.
Can I get ketamine therapy in New Jersey if I live near a state border?
Yes, as long as your primary residence is in New Jersey (or you spend significant time at a NJ address). For patients who live near the NY, PA, or DE borders and have homes in multiple states, the prescribing rules require that the patient be physically located in NJ at the time of the session. Patients who reside in NY, PA, or DE only are not currently served, but the practice is actively expanding to additional states.
