How quickly can I start treatment in California?
The eligibility questionnaire takes about five minutes and Dr. Soffer reviews it personally. Once your visit is complete and the prescription is written, medication typically arrives within 2-3 business days anywhere in California.
Who prescribes my medication in California?
Dr. Ben Soffer, D.O. — the same physician for every visit, not a rotating panel. He is licensed by the Osteopathic Medical Board of California and is enrolled in CURES, California's prescription drug monitoring program, which is required for prescribing controlled substances in the state.
Is at-home ketamine safe without someone monitoring me?
You are asked to have a support person present for your first session, and dosing is deliberately conservative and capped. Sublingual ketamine at these doses has a different risk profile from intravenous infusion, and Dr. Soffer screens for the conditions that make at-home treatment inappropriate before prescribing anything. Patients who are not suitable candidates are told so.
